Thank you so much for your support in helping me not only learn my camera as I start this new venture (I am really new at this). Without this encouragement and support, I don't think I would have seen my photo here. I aspire to take such beautiful photos as so many of you.

I joined iPhotography around 8 years ago. From that time I think I am very fortun (seems to be a typo, probably meant "fortunate”) to be a member of iPhotography. I learned so many things from that time, which helped me to become a better photographer and get many international awards.

I have started the Landscape course and surprised what good value for money it is and how much I learn in each module, plenty of examples and not too lengthy for busy people. Love the encouragement feedback from iPhotography community members and sharing images. Makes courses that are on-line feel face-face. Competitions keep me encouraged to practice more.

I’ve done loads of landscape photos for people before... done postcards and photos etc so didn’t expect to panic as much as I just did when someone asked me to photograph their dog 😂 Good job I’ve done that section of the portrait course... it was weird because all the prep stuff just came out of my mouth like second nature... we need to set up a call and chat about location, the kind of shots you want any props you want to use, time of day and all that...! I’ll likely realise I’ve missed something at some point but thank you iPhotography because I’d never have rattled all that off as easy before I did the course... if at all!!

Really wanted to catch the black and white webinar live today but didn’t make it home in time. I just watched it and there's some great info. I'm always confused on what makes a good blackand white shot. This really helped, thanks!

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, we assume no prior knowledge of landscape photography. Chris Sale is an accomplished teacher with the ability to break down seemingly complex topics into simple to understand steps.

You’ll discover all the camera settings to use, along with when, where, how and why you should use them. And of course, you’ll learn a whole range of photography techniques and what gear you need for breathtaking landscape photos.

This course has been designed for beginner landscape photographers and keen amateurs who want to take their skills to a higher level.

Whatever ‘level’ you are at, by taking this course your landscape photos will improve significantly and you’ll be a happier, more satisfied photographer!

This course is made up of a series of landscape photography classes that were each professionally filmed around the famous Lake District National Park, which was the home of Beatrix Potter and contains some of the most spectacular views in the UK!

Each location was carefully selected, not only to teach you specific landscape camera techniques, but also to expose you to landscape photography in all its raw glory.

From watching and learning how Chris plans and prepares for a trip, to understanding his thought process behind finding perfect locations, through to dealing with the elements!

These are things that amateurs often overlook and are lessons that are very difficult to teach in landscape photography books.

Through this course, you’ll get to see Chris and the team in action, while he shares with you everything he knows.

Ideal cameras and equipment are covered throughout the course. However, we understand that most beginners and amateurs do not have access to thousands of dollars worth of kit.

Therefore the course delivers plenty of realistic and budget-friendly advice for achieving spectacular results with minimalist gear.

An entry-level DSLR or Mirrorless camera (and standard kit lens) would be enough to follow-along to this course.

There is even a special module that teaches you how to shoot incredible landscape shots just using your Smartphone!

This course was filmed in the diverse outdoors and unpredictable climate of the UK, but the country is irrelevant because these classes cover all of the major location types that are found in almost all countries.

From mountains, lakes, streams, the sea, sunsets, forests, hills and more.

Landscape photography is different to other genres of photography in that you’re dealing with the elements and often different surroundings.

Chris Sale has mentored many professional photographers who were great photographers, but not knowledgeable about landscape photography in particular.

We believe strongly that we have created the best online landscape photography course available and it will truly benefit people of all abilities, from beginners through to experienced photographers.

Yes, ideally. This course is primarily designed for DSLR and mirrorless camera users, and most of the lessons are filmed using a ‘proper’ camera.

While we do include one dedicated lesson on shooting landscapes with a phone, the main focus is on teaching you how to get the most from a DSLR or mirrorless setup for the best image quality and creative control.

Absolutely. The course is designed to take you from beginner to confident landscape photographer, with easy-to-follow lessons and practical examples in the field.

Yes, 100%. Once you enrol, you get lifetime access to all modules—no deadlines, no pressure. Learn whenever it suits you.

If you’re looking for tutor support and photo critiques, you might enjoy our PLUS membership. It includes expert feedback, challenges, and community interaction alongside this course.

You’ll explore a wide range of natural environments—coastlines, forests, mountains, lakes, and urban landscapes—so the techniques apply no matter where you’re shooting from.
