Stephen, in a minute. The same voice you’ll hear in every lesson.

What you'll get

Thirty minutes. Four real shifts.

Modest by design — the free course is the doorway, not the whole house.

Get to know your camera

The buttons, the dials, the modes. Stop guessing which one to press.

Understand the basics

Aperture, shutter speed, ISO — what each one does and why they matter.

Take photos you actually like

Even after thirty minutes, the photos you take should look better than they do today.

Decide where to go next

You’ll know if photography’s worth pursuing properly — and what your next step looks like if it is.

Stephen Walton, iPhotography Head Tutor.
Your tutor

Stephen is teaching the free course.

Stephen Walton is iPhotography’s Head Tutor. A professional photographer since 2005 and teaching since 2017, he’s personally trained around 30,000 people through iPhotography’s courses.

He’s the voice you’ll hear in every one of these thirty lessons — the same tutor who teaches the paid courses. The free course isn’t a different brand, a different teacher, or a different standard. It’s the doorway to the same club.

Common questions

Things people ask before they sign up.

If your question isn’t here, drop us a note and a real person will reply.

Is it really free?

Yes — the 60 Second Photographer is properly free. No card, no trial period, no surprise charge. Email only. We’d rather you got real value first and then decided if you want to come deeper into the club.

What’s the catch?

There isn’t one. We give you the free course because it’s the easiest way to show you how we teach. If you like it, you might join one of our paid courses or PLUS+. If you don’t, you keep the free course either way and we don’t bother you.

What happens after I finish?

We’ll send you the occasional email with photography tips, member features, and (when relevant) a friendly heads-up about a paid course or workshop. You can unsubscribe any time. The free lessons are yours forever.

Do I need a fancy camera?

No. Compact, bridge, DSLR, mirrorless — anything where you can change a few settings will do. We teach the photographer, not the camera.

How long does it actually take?

About thirty minutes if you watch the lessons end-to-end. Most members watch a few at a time over a week or two and put each one into practice in between.

Will you spam me?

No. You’ll get a welcome email, the lessons, and the occasional photography update. One-click unsubscribe at the bottom of every email. We’ve been at this since 2012 — we know how to behave.
