Edit anywhere, on your tablet.
On the train. On holiday. On the sofa. The full workflow lives on the device in your hand — no laptop, no desktop, no expensive software.
Ten apps, one workflow — Lightroom Mobile, Snapseed, Affinity Photo, VSCO, Darkroom and more. Histogram, white balance, sliders, healing tools, exporting and presets, all on iPad or Android. Built by Emily Lowrey after she swapped her laptop for a tablet on every shoot. About three hours of video — an afternoon in.
Most photographers still think editing means a desktop, a mouse, and a sit-down session. This course shows you the workflow the tablet generation already uses — ten apps you can pick from, the same core editing principles across all of them, and finished photographs you're happy to share.
On the train. On holiday. On the sofa. The full workflow lives on the device in your hand — no laptop, no desktop, no expensive software.
Lightroom Mobile, Snapseed, Affinity Photo, VSCO, Darkroom, PhotoFox, Polarr, Pixaloop, Quickshot Pro, Photoshop Mobile. We cover what's the same across all of them — so you pick the app that suits you.
Read your histogram, balance your colours, and keep your edits looking natural — not over-cooked. The bits of the editing toolkit most beginners skip past because nobody bothered to explain them.
Brightness, contrast, shadows, highlights, exposure, clarity, vibrance, saturation. What each one actually does — and how to use them well across every app on the course.
Retouch the distractions out, crop and reframe with purpose, and export at the right size and quality for whatever you're doing next — sharing online, printing, or building a portfolio.
The whole course is about three hours of video. By the end of an afternoon you've got a usable mobile editing workflow you can take into your phone too. No tech-savvy required.
Pick the app that suits your phone, your wallet, and the kind of editing you want to do.
Lightroom CC · PhotoFox · Polarr · Snapseed · Darkroom · Pixaloop · Quickshot Pro · VSCO · Affinity Photo · Photoshop Mobile
Each app gets a walkthrough of what it does well and how to use it. Lightroom Mobile gets the deepest treatment (it's the most full-featured of the bunch). Open any part below to see exactly what's covered.
The principles every editing app shares, then the deepest dive of the course — Lightroom CC & Mobile, top to bottom.
The apps photographers reach for when speed matters — quick tweaks, presets, social-ready exports.
The deeper-feature apps and the ones built for stylised, creative results — including looping animations.
A short trailer giving an overview of the course — what you'll learn, who you'll learn from, and the kind of photographs members are making.
Emily teaches every module of this course herself — the same working photographer whose tablet-first workflow you're about to learn.
Professional wedding, travel and astrophotography photographer, Panasonic ambassador, and the camera behind many of iPhotography's course recordings. A few years ago Emily swapped her laptop for a lightweight tablet on every shoot — this course is the workflow that came out of it, written from the inside.
The Member's Photo Gallery is where the club hangs out. Upload your finished edits straight from your tablet, see what other members are working on, leave comments, take part in the Weekend Challenge. Tutors drop in regularly to comment on photographs that catch their eye.
After each app walkthrough, open one of your own photographs and have a go. Bite-sized, doable, on your own files — not busywork.
Export from the app straight into the Member's Photo Gallery. Friendly, private to members, no public scroll.
Members comment on each other's work — honest, encouraging, sometimes brutally helpful. Tutors join in regularly too.
Comment on other members' work, ask questions, take part in the Weekend Challenge. This is where the friendships start.
Every photograph below was taken and edited by a real iPhotography member. None of them set out to be professionals. All of them have a workflow that fits in a bag.
Every member at iPhotography has a points score and a rank badge. They're not gimmicks — they're how the club recognises the work you do, the modules you finish, and the help you give other members. Points can also be redeemed against exclusive training content inside the club.

Pulled verbatim from members who've taken this course. We've left the typos in — that's how you know they're real.
"The course was so easy to follow. The tutors are friendly, knowledgeable and really helpful with feedback. I've gone from being scared of my camera to actually loving the time I spend with it."
"I've tried a lot of online courses. This is the only one where a real person replied to my photographs. It changed how I shoot, but more importantly it changed how I look at things."
"Best money I've spent on my hobby. The modules are clear, the feedback is genuine, and the gallery is the friendliest corner of the internet I've found."
"I was nervous about being the oldest one in the group. Turns out everyone here is welcoming, and the tutors don't talk down to anyone. I'm finally taking photographs I'm proud of."
"Stephen's feedback on my landscape photograph was the most useful 200 words I've ever read about my photography. Worth the cost of the whole course on its own."
"I took the course over a long winter. By the spring I was photographing things I'd walked past for thirty years and never noticed. That's the real gift."
The Edit with Apps Course — ten apps walked through, all the bonuses, account access for as long as you keep it, and a thousand Community Points to start you off in the club.
We've been teaching photography since 2012. We know the course works — but you don't have to take our word for it. Join, take the first few modules, share a photo in the gallery, and if it doesn't click, email us within 30 days and we'll refund the lot. No hard feelings.
Both work. The course was recorded on an iPad, but most of the apps we cover have identical Android versions — the buttons sit in slightly different places, but the principles and workflow are the same. A handful of apps are iPad-only; we'll flag those as we go. Phones work too, though a tablet's bigger screen makes the slider work much easier on the eyes.
No. The point of the course is to show you the key features that are standard across most photo-editing apps, so you can pick whichever one suits your phone, your wallet, or the kind of editing you want to do. Most of the apps we cover have a free or freemium tier that's plenty to follow along with. Lightroom Mobile is the deepest dive on the course — Adobe's free version covers most of what we teach; the paid tier unlocks a few extras (Healing, Selective, Curves) we walk through as well.
For as long as your account is kept active. No expiry, no resubscription, no "course access window". The modules, the gallery, the bonuses, and the certificate stay with you.
Yes. This isn't an assignment-based course, so there's no formal tutor review of submitted work — but you'll have access to tutor help and our private feedback gallery, where you can ask questions and get advice from the team and the wider community. Tutors drop in regularly, members swap honest comments, and PLUS+ members get priority and enhanced tutor feedback on their gallery uploads as part of their subscription.
They're how the club recognises your activity over time. You start with 1,000 Community Points the moment you join, earn 30 for every module you finish, 50 for every photograph you share, and 500 when you complete the course. As your points grow, your rank badge changes — from Regular through to Legendary.
Yes. Email us within 30 days of joining and we'll refund the course in full. No quiz, no hoops — just reply to your welcome email and let us know.
The Course Completion certificate is CPD-certified, which is recognised across the UK for continuing professional development. For most members it's a quiet bit of pride rather than a career credential — but it carries genuine weight if you want it to.
The world's friendliest photography club has a place set for you. Join today, take your first module tonight, share your first photograph by the weekend.
