Today is all about wildlife. You’ll spend the day at London Zoo alongside Richard Peters — one of the UK’s top professional wildlife photographers. With his expert guidance, you’ll learn how to anticipate behavior, track movement, and capture animals with clarity and drama — even in challenging conditions.
Richard is not only a highly decorated photographer, but also a distinguished photography judge appearing on numerous competition jury’s for GDT European Wildlife Photographer of the Year, the British Wildlife Photography Awards and Bird Photographer of the Year.
From freezing a bird in flight to framing intimate portraits of big cats, this session is designed to take your wildlife photography to the next level.
- How to anticipate and capture animal behavior in real time
- Focus techniques for sharp, dynamic shots
- Composing wildlife shoots without the ‘zoo’ look
- Using natural light and fast settings to never miss the moment

Day 4 – Hidden Gardens & The Art of Detail with Tony North
After a short editing session to review your recent shots, you’ll step away from the city’s bustle and into one of London’s most peaceful hidden gems — the Chelsea Physic Garden. It’s a haven for calm, creativity, and close-up photography.
Guiding you through the day is Tony North, award-winning macro specialist and International Garden Photographer of the Year. With his calm, encouraging approach, Tony will help you slow down, observe like a photographer, and capture the kind of intricate detail most people miss.
This is your opportunity to explore a new way of seeing — and create a portfolio of delicate, eye-catching nature imagery.
- Macro techniques for capturing fine details and textures
- How to use light, focus and shadow creatively
Framing vibrant floral compositions with depth and balance - Patience and precision: developing a true “photographer’s eye”

Goal: Learn to appreciate and capture the miniature beauty of the natural world with clarity and creativity.
📍Location: Chelsea Physic Garden (entrance included) & Bloomsbury
Day 5 – Portrait Mastery & Closing Celebration
Your final day is all about people and polish. Joined by two professional models, you’ll learn how to pose, direct, and capture portraits that feel natural, expressive, and alive — all using the power of natural light.
We’ll close the workshop with a celebratory farewell meal — a chance to reflect on how far you’ve come, showcase your work, and connect with your new photography friends.
This is the final day of our workshop with guests departing the following morning, Saturday 13th June 2026.
- Directing & posing techniques for natural-looking portraits
- Harnessing natural light to flatter your subject
- Discovering angles to accentuate your model’s look

I’m a Beginner, is this trip for me?
Yes. We will assume no prior experience and will take you carefully through each day of the tour – from understanding the exposure triangle, mastering composition and perfecting focus, through to editing your photos.
It doesn’t matter what grade of camera you have; all you need is at least a basic DSLR or Mirrorless camera and a passion for photography.
We’ll show you how to make the most of your kit to capture stunning images.
What do I need to bring with me?
We recommend that you bring all your general camera gear, a tripod, and any lens filters you have. If you want to purchase lens filters beforehand, we’d recommend a polariser, neutral density and gradual neutral density filter that fits your most used lens.
Ensure you’ve got a few batteries (at least 3 – and the charger), lots of memory cards as well as something to transfer images from and edit your photos on (laptop/MacBook, tablet, iPad or smartphone).
Don’t forget other essentials such as sunscreen, a raincoat (it is the UK after all!) and your best photo attitude.
Will we be shooting on location?
Yes, there’s no other way – unless you count AI!
Every day, you’ll have a different focus, designed to gradually improve your camera understanding and become a fully rounded, confident photographer.
You’ll start with a couple of short indoor lessons to make sure you’re comfortable with how to shoot in manual mode and using the exposure triangle to get the best-looking shot.
There’ll also be indoor sessions where you can practice editing your photos with full tuition as well.
The rest of the time, we’ll be outdoors hunting down the best shots in and across the city, shooting cityscapes, wildlife, portraits, architecture and street photography.
What’s the difference between this F/65 Group Workshop and a photo walk?
A photo walk is a great way to enjoy a casual stroll with your camera, picking up a few quick tips as you go — but an iPhotography Workshop tour is something altogether different.
It’s a fully immersive, expertly led experience designed to help you grow as a photographer in real time, with hands-on guidance, in-depth teaching, and creative support every step of the way.
While our online courses offer a brilliant foundation, nothing compares to learning in-person, on-location, with professionals by your side.
You’ll discover how to respond to light, movement and composition in the moment — not just follow instructions, but develop real photographic instinct.
With multiple expert instructors covering portraiture, nature, wildlife, and editing, you’re not just walking — you’re learning how to see like a photographer. You’ll receive direct coaching, personalised feedback, and practical demonstrations tailored to your needs, not just general tips.
This is where the real transformation happens. You’ll leave not only with a memory card full of images you’re proud of, but with sharper skills, deeper confidence, and a whole new way of seeing the world through your lens.
And of course, you’ll be part of a supportive group of like-minded photography enthusiasts — learning, laughing, and creating together.
Can I attend without booking the hotel?
To keep the group close-knit and maintain the supportive, community feel that’s at the heart of the F/65 Group experience, all guests must stay at the Tavistock Hotel as part of the workshop package.
Having everyone in the same location helps build friendships, ensures smooth logistics each day, and creates a relaxed, social atmosphere that’s hard to replicate when people are scattered across the city.
From shared breakfasts to evening chats, it’s all part of what makes the workshop so special.
Anything else I should consider?
We strongly recommend that you have a good travel and medical insurance policy in place to cover you in the event you must cancel your trip and any emergency medical services you might need while travelling in a foreign country.
V-Learn Ltd t/a iPhotography cannot be held responsible for any accident/loss or injury incurred during the course of the trip.
Can I just book on for a single workshop?
The F/65 Group Workshop is designed as a complete 5-day experience, where each day builds on the last to help you grow in skill, confidence and creativity.
To get the full benefit — and to stay in sync with the group — all guests attend the entire workshop.
It’s about more than just taking photos; it’s the connections, the progress, and the journey we take together that make this experience truly memorable.
Will I have to share a room?
No. Each participant will have their own private room at the Hotel.
You will only share a room if you choose to bring a travel companion with you, such as a friend, partner, etc.
Can I extend my stay or upgrade my room?
Yes, but only if available. If you wish to make any adjustments or upgrades to your room or the length of your stay, please contact us at: [email protected]
Please do not contact the hotel directly to make changes, as this will affect the group booking.
Can I bring a partner or friend?
Yes. Non-photography companions are welcome if they are sharing with a photographer. While you’re out capturing photos in Lond your companion will find plenty of iconic landmarks and venues to visit so they won’t miss you too much! We’ll provide a list of sightseeing venues for your companion ahead of time.
While they aren’t included in our daily outings, they are warmly invited to join our welcome reception evening as well as the farewell meal at the end of our time together.
Please ensure you make the correct booking to include your companion upfront on your selected trip. The companion fee includes the hotel stay, breakfast, welcome reception and farewell meal.
What is your cancellation policy?
The cost of the trip is non-refundable once booked and payments made.
In the unlikely event this trip is cancelled by iPhotography (due to unforseen circumstances, or the minimum group size not being met), you will be issued with a 100% refund.
We keep our groups small and spots are limited, so all bookings are final. But if life gets in the way, we’ll do our best to resell your spot for you. If we’re able to, we’ll refund your payment (minus a small admin fee).
