SkillTrack™ Course
A members-only learning path with a new lesson every month. Built around the way you take photographs, not the order a textbook would teach them.
Take PLUS+ for a 30-day spin — on us. A taster of the SkillTrack™ Course, fortnightly Photo Reviews from our tutor team, members-only challenges, and the private community. Cancel any time in the 30 days and you won't pay a penny. Stay on and your price locks in for as long as you stay.
PLUS+ doesn't replace the courses. It runs alongside them — an ongoing membership for photographers who want a personal Photo Review, a fresh lesson every month, and a private community to share with.
A members-only learning path with a new lesson every month. Built around the way you take photographs, not the order a textbook would teach them.
Every two weeks the PLUS+ tutor team records video Photo Reviews on a selection of members' photographs. Share your shots to the gallery and you might be featured. Watching the Photo Reviews others get teaches you just as much as having your own picked out.
A members-only space — quieter, kinder and more useful than any open photography forum. Run by tutors, populated by photographers, no drama.
A fresh creative brief every month with real prizes. Stretches the way you see — and gives you something specific to point your camera at.
PLUS+ members get double the upload allowance in the Members' Photo Gallery, plus priority and enhanced feedback from the tutor team. Front of the queue, all year round.
160+ tutorial videos, downloadable sheets, presets and reference guides. Added to monthly. Yours for as long as your membership is active.
SkillTrack™ Course is the one thing PLUS+ has that the courses don't. A fresh lesson every month, taught in plain English, built around the way you actually go out and shoot.
SkillTrack™ Course covers the parts most photographers never quite nail down — light, composition, genre fluency, the editing that turns a good photograph into one you're proud of. A new lesson lands every month, and back issues are yours to browse any time.
Each lesson is short, doable, and built around a real photography decision — not a textbook chapter. Watch it, head out, try it, share what you got back in the community.
Up to 32 months of lessons in the current library. Your 30-day trial is a taste — the longer you stay, the more lessons land and the more you get out of the course.
Every two weeks, the iPhotography tutor team picks a selection of photographs members have shared to the gallery and the monthly challenge, and records video Photo Reviews walking through what's working, what's not, and what to try next. Every PLUS+ member can watch them all.
Most photography feedback online is two-line comments from strangers. PLUS+ Photo Reviews are something different: recorded videos from the iPhotography tutor team, in plain English, with the photographs on screen.
You won't get a private one-to-one Photo Review of every photograph — that's not what this is. You'll get to watch the tutor team walk through a handful of members' photographs in detail every fortnight, and you'll find watching other people's Photo Reviews teaches you almost as much as having your own picked out.
Eight photographs by current members — all started somewhere, none of them set out to be professionals.
PLUS+ is hosted by a small, working team — not a faceless brand. Stephen leads the SkillTrack™ Course lessons, Zaida helps run the Members' Photo Gallery, and we bring in guest pro photographers from time to time to share what they actually do.
Working photographer since 2005, art-school trained, over a decade running a high-end portrait studio. Writes and films most of the SkillTrack™ Course lessons. Friendly, plain-spoken, no jargon.
Helps run the Members' Photo Gallery feedback and the wider photographer community inside PLUS+. A working photographer in her own right — specific, warm, and very hard to fool with a flashy edit.
From time to time we bring in working photographers to talk about how they actually do their job. Past guests include Sean Tucker, Rachel Talibart, Kim Grant and Kathrin Federer — sessions are members-only and stay in the library so you can watch them whenever you fancy.
Three named PLUS+ members talking about what the club's actually done for their photography. Pulled verbatim — typos and all.
The courses got me started. The PLUS+ Photo Reviews are what honed it. The monthly competitions really showed me what good actually looks like — and how far I'd come without realising.
I have never come across such a caring and well thought out college and community. PLUS+ has given me people I'd never have met otherwise, and a place to share photographs without feeling silly.
The PLUS+ group is worth every penny. You've no idea how much comfort it's given me on the days when photography felt too hard. Honestly, the best thing I've spent money on this year.
PLUS+ achievements and milestones count as CPD — recognised across the UK for continuing professional development. Quiet pride for most members, a real credential if you want it.
SkillTrack™ Course certificates, Photo Review feedback, monthly challenge wins, even the back-catalogue gets logged against your account. Print them, share them, attach them to a portfolio — or just enjoy watching the list grow.
Pick the way you'd like billing to work after the trial. Whichever you pick, the first 30 days are on us — and your post-trial price is locked in for as long as you stay a member.
Start your trial today, watch a SkillTrack™ Course lesson, drop a photograph in the gallery, get a feel for the community. If it's not for you, cancel before day 30 — one click inside your account, no questions, no charge. Stay on past day 30 and your locked-in price kicks in for as long as you stay a member.
Pulled verbatim from the iPhotography reviews sheet. Typos kept in — that's how you know they're real.
"The Photo Review feedback from Zaida changed how I look at my own work. It's like having a tutor at your shoulder every month."
"PLUS+ is the only photography subscription I've kept past month two. The community is the bit that does it — warm, knowledgeable, no posturing."
"I get one new SkillTrack lesson a month and it always lands at the right time. The monthly challenges have stretched my photography more than any single course."
"I tried two other subscriptions before I found PLUS+. This is the only one with a real tutor on the other end of my photographs."
"Annual was the right call. I forget I'm a member and then a new lesson pops up — and I always end up trying it. Best value photography subscription I've found."
"It's not the lessons that hooked me. It's the people. The Members group is the friendliest corner of the internet I've found in years."
The courses (Photography for Beginners, Portrait, Landscape and so on) are one-off purchases — you buy them once and keep them for as long as your account is active. They're structured, finite, and built around a single subject.
PLUS+ is the monthly side of iPhotography. It runs alongside the courses, not instead of them. SkillTrack™ Course lessons are members-only and they keep coming as long as you're a member. PLUS+ also gets you fortnightly video Photo Reviews from the tutor team, the private community, and the monthly challenges — none of which come with a one-off course purchase.
No. PLUS+ is open to photographers at any level — complete beginners welcome. SkillTrack™ Course starts at the basics and builds up, and the community is famously friendly to newcomers.
That said, if you're brand new and you want a single, structured course to go through first, Photography for Beginners is the one most people start with. You can absolutely do both.
On day 31 you're charged at the rate you picked at signup — £199.00 a year or £19.95 a month. That rate is then locked in for as long as you stay a member, even if we put our prices up later. Cancel any time after that in one click from inside your account.
One click inside your account. We'll send a reminder a couple of days before your trial ends so you have time to decide either way. If you cancel before day 30 you don't pay a penny.
No. The 30 days is genuinely free. Your first payment only happens on day 31, and only if you haven't cancelled.
Yes — full access to the SkillTrack™ Course library, fortnightly Photo Reviews, the Members' Photo Gallery, the private community, the monthly challenges and the tutorial library. The thing to know is that PLUS+ is built around a monthly rhythm — a new SkillTrack™ Course lesson drops each month, the Photo Reviews land every fortnight, and the more months you stay the more you'll have collected. The trial is the taster; staying on is where the real value adds up.
No — the paid courses (Beginners, Portrait, Landscape, Wildlife, etc.) are separate purchases. SkillTrack™ Course is the only learning track that's exclusive to PLUS+.
Most members do both: they take one or two paid courses to learn a subject in depth, and then keep PLUS+ running alongside for the monthly lessons, Photo Reviews and community. PLUS+ members also get brand partner discounts on the paid courses when they fancy adding one.
Every fortnight, the iPhotography tutor team picks a selection of photographs from what members have shared to the gallery and to the monthly challenge, and records video Photo Reviews walking through each one — on screen, in plain English.
It's not a private one-to-one Photo Review — you won't get a video on every photograph you upload. What you do get is a steady fortnightly drip of recorded Photo Reviews you can watch and rewatch, and members tell us watching someone else's photograph picked apart in detail is just as useful as having your own chosen. Every Photo Review stays in the members' library so you can come back to them any time.
You're in good company — the community is mostly people who started exactly where you are. Tutors and members are kind to beginners by default, and there are no public scrolls or public scores. Share when you're ready, lurk when you're not.
Yes — email us when you'd like to switch and we'll credit what you've already paid against the annual price. Most members try a couple of months first and then convert to annual once they know they're keeping it.
CPD is recognised across the UK as evidence of continuing professional development. For most PLUS+ members it's a quiet bit of pride rather than a career credential — but it carries genuine weight if you want to use it (teachers, healthcare professionals and creative-industry workers all log CPD hours).
Email [email protected] and a real tutor will reply. Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm UK time. We don't outsource customer support.
Free for 30 days. Cancel any time before day 30 and you pay nothing. Stay on and your price locks in for as long as you stay a member — even if we put our prices up later.
