Fix and improve any photograph.
Brightness, colour, sharpness, clarity, contrast and detail — the everyday tweaks that take a flat photograph and bring it back to life. Walked through one adjustment at a time on real images.
Twenty-one modules built for photographers opening Adobe Photoshop Elements for the first time. The Organizer, the Photo Editor, every adjustment, layer and effect — plus the photo books, calendars, collages and prints you can make from inside the app, once you know where everything lives.
Photoshop Elements is the photographer-friendly sibling of full Photoshop — guided edits, one-click fixes, and a friendlier learning curve. The job of a good course is to show you where everything lives and which tools you'll actually use. That's what you'll learn here.
Brightness, colour, sharpness, clarity, contrast and detail — the everyday tweaks that take a flat photograph and bring it back to life. Walked through one adjustment at a time on real images.
The healing brush, the clone tool and the newer AI removal tools — for tidying up skin, skies, lamp posts, photobombers and any little bit of the frame that pulls the eye where you don't want it to go.
Elements' guided edits and one-click filters do most of the heavy lifting — we'll show you how to use them well, and how to peek behind the curtain into proper layer-and-mask editing when you want a bit more control.
The Organizer is one of Elements' best features and one of the most ignored. Tags, labels, smart folders and face recognition — find any photograph in seconds instead of scrolling for an hour.
Photo books, calendars, collages, slideshows, greeting cards, posters — all built from inside Elements with the templates already in the app. Print them, share them, give them to someone who'll keep them.
By the last module you'll feel at home in Elements — knowing which tool to reach for, why it works, and when to leave it alone. Skills that transfer to any future software upgrade you do.
Every workspace, tool, adjustment and creative feature in Adobe Photoshop Elements, walked through one at a time. Open any phase below to see exactly what's covered.
Open Adobe Photoshop Elements for the first time and walk round both workspaces — the Organizer and the Photo Editor — plus the Guided Edits panel and the companion mobile apps.
The everyday tweaks you'll use most days — brightness, colour, contrast, sharpness, vignettes and Camera RAW — on real photographs from start to finish.
Removing distractions, replacing skies, masking hair and landscapes, and using Elements' Generative AI tools well — what they do brilliantly, and where to do it yourself.
Non-destructive editing taught from scratch — so you can always go back. Plus the filter gallery, special effects, styles and graphics for when you want something more creative.
Photo books, calendars, cards, prints, slideshows, collages and reels — the things Elements is built for and full Photoshop simply can't do. All from inside the app you've already paid for.
The best file format for print, for web, for social. How big to export, what to compress, what to keep — so your finished edit looks as good outside Elements as it did inside it.
A short trailer giving an overview of the course — what you'll learn, who you'll learn from, and the kind of photographs members are making.
The voice in every module of this course is iPhotography's Head Tutor — a working photographer and editor who's used full Adobe Photoshop daily for over twenty years, now showing you how to get most of what you need from the simpler, friendlier sibling.
Art-school trained, photographer since 2005, teaching since 2017. Two decades editing in Adobe Photoshop daily, including for high-end studios and photography businesses across the UK, with work published by Adobe and multiple industry awards along the way. Stephen is the voice in every module of this course — pointing out where Elements does something cleverer than the full version, and where the one-click tools save you twenty minutes you'd never get back.
The Member's Photo Gallery is where the club hangs out. Upload your finished edits, see what other members are working on, leave comments, take part in the Weekend Challenge. Tutors drop in regularly to comment on photographs that catch their eye.
After each module, open one of your own photographs and have a go. Bite-sized, doable, on your own files — not busywork.
Pop your finished version into the Member's Photo Gallery. Friendly, private to members, no public scroll.
Members comment on each other's work — honest, encouraging, sometimes brutally helpful. Tutors join in regularly too.
Comment on other members' work, ask questions, take part in the Weekend Challenge. This is where the friendships start.

Pulled verbatim from members who've taken this course. We've left the typos in — that's how you know they're real.
"The course was so easy to follow. The tutors are friendly, knowledgeable and really helpful with feedback. I've gone from being scared of my camera to actually loving the time I spend with it."
"I've tried a lot of online courses. This is the only one where a real person replied to my photographs. It changed how I shoot, but more importantly it changed how I look at things."
"Best money I've spent on my hobby. The modules are clear, the feedback is genuine, and the gallery is the friendliest corner of the internet I've found."
"I was nervous about being the oldest one in the group. Turns out everyone here is welcoming, and the tutors don't talk down to anyone. I'm finally taking photographs I'm proud of."
"Stephen's feedback on my landscape photograph was the most useful 200 words I've ever read about my photography. Worth the cost of the whole course on its own."
"I took the course over a long winter. By the spring I was photographing things I'd walked past for thirty years and never noticed. That's the real gift."
The Photoshop Elements Course — the full course, the bonuses, account access for as long as you keep it, and a thousand Community Points to start you off in the club.
Note: Adobe Photoshop Elements is a separate Adobe product. You'll need a copy — one-off purchase from Adobe — to follow along with the course.
We've been teaching photography since 2012. We know the course works — but you don't have to take our word for it. Join, take the first few modules, share a photo in the gallery, and if it doesn't click, email us within 30 days and we'll refund the lot. No hard feelings.
Yes — that's exactly who the course is built for. We start with both Elements workspaces (the Organizer and the Photo Editor), the vertical toolbar, and the everyday adjustments, and explain every tool the first time it appears. No jargon left unexplained. Whether you've never opened Photoshop Elements before, or you've poked at it for years and only ever used two or three of the guided edits, the course brings you up to speed at your own pace.
Yes. Photoshop Elements is a separate Adobe product — the course teaches Elements specifically, so you'll need a copy to follow along. The good news: unlike full Photoshop, Elements is a one-off purchase, not a subscription. Adobe sells a three-year licence that includes free updates, and after that the version you own keeps working. Upgrading is optional, not mandatory.
Compatible with Adobe Photoshop Elements 2022 or later on Mac or Windows. Not the same as full Photoshop, Photoshop CC, or the Photoshop apps for iPad and Android — those are separate Adobe products with different toolsets.
Full Adobe Photoshop is the pro tool used by designers, photographers and retouchers who need every panel, every layer mode, and every advanced selection feature. It's a monthly subscription and has a steeper learning curve.
Photoshop Elements is the photographer-friendly sibling. One-off purchase, friendlier interface, guided edits, one-click fixes, a built-in Organizer for managing your photo library, and templates for photo books, calendars and prints. The trade-off is that some of the deepest pro features aren't there — but for the everyday business of fixing and improving photographs, Elements does the job beautifully and is the easier place to start.
Around eight hours of video tutorials in total — so most members can work through it across a weekend if they want to. There are no tests and no time limits. Take it at the pace that suits you, rewatch any module as many times as you like, and come back to the gallery whenever you have a question.
For as long as your account is kept active. No expiry, no resubscription, no "course access window". The modules, the gallery, the bonuses, and the certificate stay with you. Adobe sometimes updates Photoshop Elements with new tools and features — when that happens, we update the relevant modules so the training stays current.
Yes. This isn't an assignment-based course, so there's no formal tutor review of submitted work. But our tutors are here to answer questions and give feedback throughout your learning journey — the Member's Photo Gallery is the place to share your edits, ask for input, and join in. Tutors drop in regularly, members swap honest comments and advice, and PLUS+ members get priority and enhanced tutor feedback on their gallery uploads as part of their subscription.
They're how the club recognises your activity over time. You start with 1,000 Community Points the moment you join, earn 30 for every module you finish, 50 for every photograph you share, and 500 when you complete the course. As your points grow, your rank badge changes — from Regular through to Legendary. Points can also be redeemed against exclusive training content inside the club.
Yes. Email us within 30 days of joining and we'll refund the course in full. No quiz, no hoops — just reply to your welcome email and let us know.
The Course Completion certificate is CPD-certified, which is recognised across the UK for continuing professional development. For most members it's a quiet bit of pride rather than a career credential — but it carries genuine weight if you want it to.
The world's friendliest photography club has a place set for you. Join today, take your first module tonight, share your first edit by the weekend.
