With iPhotography, it’s very easy.

Simply choose the class (or classes) that interest you the most right now and sign up. Once you’ve joined your class you can get started straight away and finish it whenever you’ve got time.

The beauty of an iPhotography class is that you have no expiration date or deadline to complete your course. If you start it today you can complete it next year, or the year after! We’re that flexible!

It is that flexibility to fit your training around your life that means 86% of our course members start another course immediately after completing one. Unlike other photography schools, our online classes mean you don’t need to attend a live lesson at set times.

All our courses are delivered in video or presentation format which you can access without limits. This means you can always refresh your knowledge months after completing a module to reaffirm your understanding.

Are Photography Classes Expensive?

Not ours anyway! Joining a photography class is an investment in yourself. In the same way that buying a new lens, camera, flash or other accessories is an investment in your hobby.

The value of what you’ll learn in a photography class cannot compare to any piece of camera equipment. Your knowledge will last a lifetime whereas photographers change cameras and lenses every few years meaning further expense.

Our classes cost less than many others and come with more bonuses than most too. Select your preferred course to get more information about a joining fee.

Who Are Photography Classes Made For?

Are our classes made for you? Well if you’re brand new to photography or been practising for a little while but starting to hit a wall then, the simple answer – YES!

Whether you have just bought a camera or have spent years behind the viewfinder, our photography classes are comprehensive, educational, honest and cutting-edge – there are no other courses like it (believe us, we checked a lot!).

We’re like the Wikipedia of photography – all of the answers are under one roof.

What Do I Need to Start a Class?

You don’t need any experience to take any of our online photography classes. The language used is designed to be simple to understand and the course interface intuitive and easy to follow with no complicated jargon.

The best thing about most of our photography classes is that you don’t always need to have a top-end DSLR camera. We’ll let you know in each course what camera equipment will be best. But we’ll also show you how to get the best out of the camera you already own – even if it’s a simple point and shoot compact or an iPhone.

It’s not your camera, it’s how you use it. Once you understand how a few of your camera’s features work, everything else falls into place very quickly and you’ll be taking stunning photos and capturing beautiful memories in no time at all.

What Happens When I Finish a Class?

After graduating from any of our photography classes you will get a certificate to showcase your achievement. A selection of our courses has even been accredited by a professional training body, CPD.

As an accredited training provider, you have the peace of mind that your photography training has met strict external quality criteria. Passing a course is an achievement that gives you a huge sense of personal pride, confidence as a photographer as well as significant career advantages.

3 Ways to Use Natural Light

Sunlight can be discussed using a few different photography terms and approaches. There are normally 4 considerations photographers look at when using natural light in their photos - Direction, Colour, Intensity and Quality.

1. Direction

In which direction is the light falling? Is the direction of the light where you need it to be? While it’s very hard to change the direction of natural light unless you’re using reflectors you may have to move your subject into the path of the light to get the right finish.

There are 3 main directions that you can use natural light in a photo;

How to Be a Nature Photographer

Going from a beginner nature photographer to making money from your camera you need dedication. It requires time and a never-ending passion to get outdoors with your cameras and practise new techniques. Get outdoors early and return when the sun sets.

Get familiar with your local woodlands and read nature books to learn about wildlife, birding and foliage. This will help you understand what you are shooting and when is the best time of year to find these subjects.

HEAD OFFICE

The other challenge when shooting through glass is the tinting. Unfortunately, architects and designers didn’t think about us photographers when creating these skyscrapers.

Their windows are invariably tinted in some way to help with heating.

This means that some of your photos may have a green/grey tint to them.

It’s not the biggest issue as you can rebalance this tint in editing with the ‘tint’ slider for example.
